Meditation and Exercise
Stress has been known to put a halt to hair growth and can actually put your hair follicles in a sort of coma so they no longer grow. Meditation and exercise could help relieve the stress that puts your hormone levels all over the chart. It’s worth a try….at the very least, you may feel better.
Ketoconazole Shampoo
You may consider changing out your regular shampoo for one with 1 percent ketoconazole, or ask your doctor to prescribe the 2 percent version.
“It’s marketed as an anti-dandruff ingredient, but there’s solid research ketoconazole is an anti-androgen,” says Piliang. Anti-androgens block the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, a hormone that shrinks hair follicles.
Massage the shampoo into your scalp, wait two to three minutes, and rinse.
Vitamin D
There are some studies that found low levels of vitamin D cause hair loss. A strong level of Vitamin D has been found to stimulate hair growth. You can look to foods that are also rich in Vitamin D and enjoy a moderate amount of time in outdoor activities – just don’t overdo the sun exposure.
Add IRON to the diet
Iron deficiency may be the cause of thinning hairline for some people. Boost the Iron and you may see growth in your mane. The National Institute of Health recommends that adult males get about eight milligrams of iron per day. Once iron levels are restored, you may notice growth–however, don’t expect overnight results, it may take a few months.
